A sample of 95 and 101 students was considered from each school respectively. The type of design used was random probabilistic, descriptive, comparative with ages between 9 and 12 years. The test used was extend of the reading comprehension for fourth grade ACL 4, which considers the following dimensions: literal, reorganizative, inferential and critical. The principal results were that it exists a difference in reading comprehension in students of La Perla Alta y La Perla Baja districts in literally and inferential aspects and there is no difference in reorganizative and critical aspects. As additional information there was not a significants differences in reading comprehension between males and females students.

The descriptive design used was correlational, non-probabilistic, the sample consisted of 114 students of sixth grade primary of a low socioeconomic stratum from educational institutions outside Ventanilla. The instrument used was the test for evaluation of the reading comprehension ACL 6º (Catalá G., Catalá M., Molina E. y Monclús R., 2001) adapted by Ortega and Ramirez (2009). The results showed that the association between the level of reading comprehension reorganization and the level of education of the mother Chi Square = 0.015 is less than p_valor = 0.05.

Its results were obtained through an application of a Self-assessment scale instrument, it was applied to 96 teachers from a public schools. Therefore student’s perceptions were gotten through a perception questionnaire instrument. The type of research that has been applied is simple descriptive design and its substantive variable is teaching performance; the results were analyzed for statistics software SPSS (version 15). The distribution square Chi helped to determine the level of effectiveness of elementary teacher’s performance through its dimensions such as. All in all, 48.8% of elementary teachers show a medium level of effective, 28.1% elementary teachers show a high level of in performance and 26% of elementary teachers show a low level of a total of 96 teachers.

We chose a descriptive simple type transversal research, quantitative in nature. In order to do this we used the Leadership Style Questionnaire (Celide - A), Morales-Molero, which reflects the typology presented by Bernard Bass, who considers three styles of leadership. This test allows a score for each of the three styles and dimensions that comprise it. We determined a random sample of 119 people, for the universe of 168 teachers from 9 schools. The study group was composed of 168 teachers from 9 schools, and identified a random sample of 119 people. The results show that the vast majority of teachers focuses on transformational leadership style.

The research design used is a descriptive correlational. The population consists of 217 male students. The instrument used was the Questionnaire of Honey-Alonso of learning styles (CHAEA) and the academic performance of students used the consolidated registers of evaluation of the English area 2009. For the statistical analysis was used the SPSS 15.0, the results indicated a statistically significant association between the theoretical and pragmatic style to the final annual English average.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoNiveles de comprensión lectora en alumnos de cuarto grado de primaria de Carmen de La Legua Reynoso - Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2012) Escate Portal, Gilda Maribel; Meza Borja, Juan AnibalThis descriptive investigation aims to describe the reading comprehension levels of the fourth grade primary students from public schools in Carmen de la Legua Reynoso distric, Callao. We applied the ACL to the sample made of 457 students to 4to. Primary grade, the results show that most of these students reach a low level in reading comprehension. They reach an average level in literal dimension; however, they reach very low in reorganizational dimension and low in inferential and critical dimension, most of the male students present a higher level than female. We conclude that the students should improve the more complex dimensions of reading comprehension to strengthen their learning.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoNiveles de comprensión lectora en alumnos del quinto grado de primaria de una institución educativa de Bellavista - Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2012) Vega Vásquez, César Hugo; Bustamante Guerrero, Gilberto IndalecioThe investigation of not experimental type used a descriptive simple design, which intention was identified the levels of reading comprehension in the students of 5to degree of primary of an educational institution of the district of Bellavista - Callao. It was considered to be a sample not probabilística of 85 pupils. The categories of qualification are established for the variable reading comprehension, as well as his four dimensions which were evaluated by a test of reading comprehension ACL5 of Catalá, Catalá, Catalá, Molina and Monclús (2001) adapted by the author (2009). The results demonstrated that the literal dimension evaluated in the sample presents a low range in 52,9 %, the dimension inferencial evaluated is low in 49,4 %, the dimension criterial with an average range of 35,3 % and the capacity of reorganization of reading comprehension is low in 71,8 % of consulted subjects. In the general evaluation of the reading comprehension the index of approval presents an average range of 68,2 % of the sample.

This job forms a research of descriptive - comparative character and the studying group was formed by 182 students of Public Schools as Bandera de la Paz and Teniente Coronel Perez Salmon and Private Schools as Regina Pacis and B. Group. A comprehensive test of written texts of UMC was taken, Standardized Instrument by the Ministry of Education that makes possible to measure in an objective form, the level of management of reading of second grade students. In conclusion, It doesn´t exist any significant differences of reading comprehension between Public and Private Schools; although they found significant differences in the literal level between boys and girls.

It was used as an instrument the ACL test. The sample was 449 students. The results presents that the highest percentage of students located on the low level in reading comprehension and according to dimensions the most of them are located on the upper level of the literal dimension and low levels of the organizational dimension, inferential and critical. Concluding that, the children in the area of Mi Peru, need to strengthen the more complex dimensions of reading comprehension to ensure the progressive acquisition of knowledge. The findings are discussed in relation to the literature on levels of reading comprehension in Primary, also indicate its limitations.

For this research it has been used the descriptive method. The sample, according to the no probabilistic criterion was formed by 42 boys and 42 girls, which were evaluated with the test of reading comprehension ACL6 created by Gloria Catala, Mireia Catala, Encarna Molina and Rosa Monclus, adapted by Ortega and Ramirez(2010). Taking into consideration the global performance, it was observed that a 54% of the students showed a low level of reading comprehension. To compare the differences between genre, it was used the statistics of Mann-Whitney. The obtained results showed that the boys present better levels of reorganization, inference and criteria of reading comprehension in front of the girls; in the literal level it was not observed differences between genres.

The sample comprised 100 students, 50 girls and 50 boys in the 5th grade educational institutions of Callao. The ACL5 º (Catala et al 2001) testwas applied adapted (Gomez, 2009). The results showed that 10% of boys and 16% of girls are at a very low level, 22% of boys and 30% of girls are at a low level, 44% of boys and 30% of girls are moderately low, 22% of boys and 18% of girls are within normal limits, the high level was reached by only 2% of boys and 6% of girls. The data show low performance in reading comprehension. In addition, we determined that there are no significant differences in levels of reading comprehension by gender.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoNiveles de conciencia fonológica en estudiantes de primer grado de instituciones educativas públicas de Pachacútec(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2010) De la Cruz Valentín, Ayda; Velarde Consoli, Esther MarizaThe purpose of this study was to determine the performance of phonological awareness at different levels in 250 children from first grade of public educational institutions Pachacútec. Students come mostly from migrant families from across the country and belong to low socioeconomic status. This ability was evaluated using the Test of metalinguistic skills (THM) from Gómez, Valero, Buades and Pérez (1995) adapted in Perú by Panca (2000). The results indicate that only 1.6% of the sample tested has a breakthrough performance in phonological awareness while 98.4% is below the expected scores. An analysis between the subtests (THM) found that metaphonological performance was better in the levels of rhyme and phonemes versus syllables which would explain the difficulties in learning to read.

The sample 286 teachers (152 from Callao and 134 from Ventanilla) of both sexes and whose labor condition were to be permanent and temporary teachers. A Resilience scale for teachers (ER-D) was applied to evaluate four factors: significant participation, self- esteen and learning, prosocial behavior and supporting perception. After processing the results, we came across to the conclusion that significant differences do not exist in the levels of resilience between the elementary school teachers of Ventanilla and Callao. Regarding the factors of significant participation, pro-social behavior and perception of support, do not exist significant differences between the teachers of both districts either. On the other hand, talking about self-esteem and learning, there are significant differences in favour of teachers of Ventanilla.

The participants were 230 primary students, male and female from fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. A questionnaire to evaluate school climate in elementary school was applied. Proposed by Gutierrez (2007) adapted by Castro (2011), this questionnaire was validated by judges criterion and had a high coefficient of reliability. The results show that the students from fourth, fifth and sixth grade of an Educational Institution of Callao presented in an intermediate School climate perception.

The sample consisted of 60 students, 30 students in each school of a socioeconomic low level to which there was applied the Battery of Evaluation of the Reading Processes (PROLEC) elaborated for Cuetos , Rodríguez and Ruano (2000). Adapted by Guevara (2009). We used the Mann-Whitney U statistic and found significant differences in the tasks of letter name and sound, grammatical structure, sentence comprehension and reading comprehension, for students of the private school versus public institution, although both groups are below the required standards as good readers.

There were selected a sample of 33 children and girls of the shift tomorrow and 27 children and girls of the shift late of a socioeconomic low level to which there was applied the Battery of Evaluation of the Reading Processes (PROLEC) elaborated for F. Cuetos , B. Rodríguez and E. Ruano (2000). A profile of performance was elaborated in each of the processes of the reading. To find the differences of the performance of the pupils of the shift tomorrow opposite to those of the shift late there was in use the statistician Or of Mann Whitney. One found a better performance in all the processes of the reading in the pupils of the shift tomorrow opposite to those of the shift late. When the comparison was realized bearing in mind each of the sub test one found differences in favour of the shift tomorrow except in the reading of words and the grammatical structures. One recommends to strengthen the deficit areas specially in the pupils of the shift late.

The sample was 166 students (88 male and 78 female) that belonged to a low socioeconomic level. The instrument was “evaluation of writing processes (PROESC) of Cuetos, Ramos and Ruano, adapted for Callao region by Silva (2011). The results indicated a better performance of girls in the productive writing narrative texts in relation to children and in the expository texts had a similar performance.

The sample consisted of 147 students. To measure reading comprehension using battery Assessment of Reading Processes (PROLEC-SE, Cuetos, 2000) and prior knowledge was used Evaluation test of prior knowledge (Ato, 2010). The design was correlational and to establish the degree of association between variables was used Spearman’s rho statistic. The results show that there is statistically significant at 0.01 levels between the variables prior knowledge of textual content and comprehension of expository texts.
