- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoCompetencias matemáticas en estudiantes de primer grado, según género, en dos instituciones educativas del Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2012) Misari Quispe, Victoria; Álvarez Taco, Carmen LeniEl propósito de la investigación fue comparar los niveles de competencia matemática en estudiantes de primer grado, según género en dos instituciones educativas del Callao. Se ha utilizado el método descriptivo comparativo, teniendo como muestra a 91 estudiantes: 38 mujeres y 53 arones, a los cuales se les aplicó la prueba EVAMAT-1, que evalúa las competencias matemáticas a alumnos de primer grado. Los resultados mostraron que un 9.9% de los estudiantes se encuentran en un nivel bajo, un 63.7 % se encuentran en un nivel medio, mientras que un 26.4% alcanzaron un nivel alto, concluyendo que la mayoría de los estudiantes tienen un manejo medio de las competencias matemáticas. Con respecto al género al evaluar las competencias matemáticas de manera global se observa un valor de significancia de .195, afirmando que no existen diferencias significativas entre niños y niñas, de igual forma en las dimensiones de: numeración, cálculo, geometría y resolución de problemas no se observan diferencian entre género.

The sample consisted of 40 sixth grade elementary students from a public school in Ventanilla District. The test of reading comprehension ACL 6º (Catalá et. al. 2001) adapted (Ortega and Ramirez, 2009) was applied. The results showed that 52.6 % of the girls and 66.7% of the boys reached a low level while 42.1 % of the girls and 23.8 % of the boys reached the average level. The high level was only reached by 5.3 % of the girls and 9.5 % of the boys. The data show the low academic performance in reading comprehension in the evaluated students. It also shows there were not are significant relationship in levels of reading comprehension regarding gender.

The sample consisted of 110 students (55 girls and 55 boys) from the 6th grade of a public school and another parish. We used the Reading Comprehension Test of Linguistic Complexity 6 is A Progressive CLP reliability was studied with the method teas-retest Spearman rho coefficient of .78 and construct validity with confirmatory factor analysis method, it was concluded that the test is reliable. The results show that significant differences exist among students by type of institution with a t value of -3.194 and a significance of 0.00. In gender terms there are no significant differences.

The study group were consisted of 120 students 64 girls and 56 boys, was applied as an instrument for measuring the reading comprehension Test (ACL-6). Authors: G. Catalá, M. Catalá, E. Molina, R. Monclús (2001) adapted by Mr. Ortega and Ps. Ramirez (2009). In the result obtained to showed that skills literal comprehension, reorganization of inferencial don’t difference in gender function. The skills of critical understanding differences in gender function. The skills of the level of reading comprehension in the general test don’t difference in gender function.

A reading comprehension test (ACL) elaborated by Catalá et al (2001) and adapted by professors Ramirez and Ortega (2010) was applied to a sample of 120 students. The results show a high level performance in the literal dimension while it reader a low level in reorganitational and critical. The inferential dimension reacher an average level Likewise it was stated that there is no significant difference between gender and reading comprehension performance in the literal reorganizational and inferential dimensiones however there was a significant difference between gender and reading comprehension performance in the critical dimension.

The sample was made up of descriptive comparative 120 students, 33 girls and 27 third graders and 33 girls and 27 boys from the fourth grade a school of Callao. The Linguistic Complexity Progressive CLP (Alliende, Condemarín and Milicic, 1996) test was applied. adapted by (Delgado, Escurra, Atalaya, Alvarez, Small, and Guevara Santivañez (2004). The results showed that reading comprehension of third grade as the test of Mann Whitney U, show that if there are significant differences by gender in favor of girls. The fourth grade reading comprehension, as assessed by the Mann Whitney state that there are no significant differences by gender.

The research was descriptive, with a comparative descriptive design. The available sample consisted 80 students, who were administered the Test of metalinguistic skills (THM) Gomez, Valero, Buades and Perez (1995) adapted by Panca (2000). When processing the results found that most of the students in the sample were at the advanced level. The analysis of the scores showed that in most subs test administered to children no significant differences in the use of phonological awareness.

It also describes the performance in phonological awareness and reading comprehension of students in the sample, the same that was with 40 students, 25 boys and 15 girls aged 7-10 years of age, who were administered the test Reading Comprehension of Language Complexity Progressive Alliende, Condemarín and Milicic and Linguistic Segmentation Test Jimenez Gonzales and Ortiz. We used descriptive statistics to analyze the results of both tests, and inferential statistics to find the relationship between them. We obtained a Spearman rho coefficient of 0.782, so it was determined that the relationship between reading comprehension and phonological awareness is statistically significant at a significance level of 0.00. This also makes a detailed analysis of the dimensions of the tests applied.

The sample has comprised of a total of 40 students from 7 to 8 years (22 males and 18 females), chosen intentionally. The instruments used are: sheets systematic observation of the Motion Graphics (Ajuriaguerra and Auzia, 1973) and Cursive (Condemarín and M. Chadwick), which considers the sub-test: run normal speed, fast speed of implementation and quality of copy. The research results show the existence of a weak positive relationship (r = 0.353) between behavior and cursive writing graphomotor featuring children between 7 and 8 years of age, where p <0.05.

The substantive research is descriptive and comparative descriptive design. The sample were 55 students aged 8 – 9 years both sexes who were evaluated with a battery of Piagetan test Forcab of cognitive – affective basic structure formation. The results showed that the students do not reach the high level of moral development, likewise, they also showed significant differences in the level of moral development according to gender for some of the dilemmas, being the girl students who reached better results.

The sample were 80 students male and female. The Test of Psychomotor Development (TEPSI) of the authors Haeussler and Marchant (1994) adapted by Aguinaga and Aguinaga (2011), assessing the overall level of psychomotor development and dimensions of motor, coordination and language, was used. The results showed that most of students rated an average level in their general psychomotor in each of its dimensions.

The present study is simple descriptive with a sample not probabilistic of 90 students (34 are female and 56 are male). The instrument was applied is the questionnaire of Honey- Alonso (1994) adapted in Peru by Zavala (2008) that determines the preferences accord the style of learning of the students. So, it concluded that exists predominance in the theory style fallowed of the active, reflexive and pragmatic style.

The purpose is to compare the active, reflexive, theoretical and pragmatic learning styles according to sex in males and women students of the sixth cycle - the first and the second high school-, of an educational institution of Ventanilla district. The used instrument was the questionnaire Honey-Alonso of learning styles (CHAEA), it was applied to a sample of 220 students, with ages between 12 to 16 years. The results of the present study showed that yes exist significant differences in the active style in favour of the women. As for the reflexive style, exist differences in favour of the women, but they are not significant. On the theoretical and pragmatic styles concluded that do not exist significant differences according to the sex.

For that, we worked with a sample of 109 students, boys and girls that are the total of the fourth grade students registered in the year 2009, 50 are female and 59 are male, the sample is not probabilistic. The applied instrument is the questionnaire of Honey- Alonso that determines the preference according the style of learning of the students. So, it concluded that exists predominance in high level in the four styles of learning in both sex. So, the most considerate the pragmatic style.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEstudio sobre el autoconcepto de los alumnos del 1ero. de secundaria de una I.E. del distrito de Ventanilla(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2010) Medina Coronado, Daniela; Altez Rodríguez, Irma SusanaThe aim of this research was to describe the self concept of first year high school students in a Ventanilla’s school. 150 subjects were taken for the sample, 75 male students and 75 female students. Their ages were between 11 to 15 years old. The results obtained by the Self-Concept Questionnaire in the school of Andrés García, show that most students surveyed have a high average and general self-concept, it appears that socio-economic factor that comes from the sample has not affected their self-concept of. We also found that males have a better emotional self-concept than females. While women had higher levels on the social dimension. There was no difference in the physical dimension with respect to gender.

The comparative descriptive research was conducted with a sample available that consisted of 100 students from five years of an educational institution of Fence- Callao. Test was applied pre calculus Milicic and Schmidt (1995), which assesses math skills through ten dimensions. It was concluded that there are no differences in the abilities of pre calculus students by gender in five years of starting school.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoHabilidades metafonológicas en niños y niñas de primer grado de primaria de una institución educativa del Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2012) Montoya Lara, Marizol; Álvarez Taco, Carmen LeniThe intention of this study was to know the performance of the phonological conscience in its different levels in 71 boys and girls that have concluded the first grade of primary education of a public institution of the Callao. The students come from low and medium socioeconomic level. This skill was evaluated applying the Test de habilidades metalingüísticas (THM) of Gómes, Buadés, Valera and Pérez (1995) adapted in Peru by Rodríguez (2003). The results indicate that 52% of the students are located in the intermediate and low levels. A rigorous analysis between the sub test of the (THM) threw that the metaphonological performances were better in the levels of syllables and of counted phonemes opposite to other dimensions what would explain the difficulties of learning in the reading and writing. Likewise, no significant differences between metalinguistic abilities of children of primary school.

Participants were 109 children of low socioeconomic status, which were randomly selected: 55 girls and 54 boys. The instrument applied was the Scale of Assessment of Social Skills in Childhood, by teachers. The results showed no significant differences between boys and girls in regard to basic social skills, social interaction, skills for the initiation of social interaction and conversational skills, sharing and cooperation skills, abilities related to emotions and feelings or the skills of selfassertion.

The sampling was applied by conglomerates bietápico; the sample was made up of 155 students of both genders. The instruments used were the inventory of BarOn ICE: NA Emotional Intelligence in children and adolescents (short form) and Reading Comprehension Linguistics complexity 6 test form A; there are instruments that have validity and reliability in our country. The results were: there is weak relationship between emotional intelligence and reading comprehension. There is no relationship between interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence with reading comprehension. However if there is a significant relationship between adaptability, handling stress with reading comprehension.

The variables investigated were Transformational Leadership and Organizational Environment (dimensions institutional identity, interpersonal relations and institutional dynamics.) The research was descriptive and correlational design. We worked with a population consisting of 103 teachers, managing instruments transformational leadership scales of Segovia (2001), and the scale of organizational climate of Berrocal (2006), possessing both the validity and reliability tools appropriate to the context worked.The study showed findings allowed to conclude the existence of significant correlation between transformational leadership and organizational environment and dimensions, institutional identity, interpersonal relations and institutional dynamics of organizational environment to a significance level of 0.001.
