It was simple descriptive study. The sample consisted of 101 parents from these Pre Scholar Institutions, who have fulfilled the survey to parents to assess teaching performance of the directors that are also classroom teachers. The survey was elaborated by the author and adapted from the “Marco para la buena enseñanza de Chile”. The results revealed that parents perceive that the teacher who is also head of the institution has an excellent teaching performance.

The type of study is descriptive research design is correlational. The sample consisted of 100 students from fifth grade of a public educational institution of Callao. The parental educational styles were assessed with the Perceive parental competence scale version of children, whose authors are Agustín Bayot Mestre, Hernandez Viadel, Hervias Arquero, Sanchez Rubio, Velarde Martinez and the self esteem with the Self esteem scale whose author is Eagly. While performing the correlation analysis it was found a significant relationship between the dimensions of the parental educational styles and the self esteem.
