We used a simple descriptive design, evaluating a probabilistic sample available of 128 children, aged 10 to 12 years from 3 schools. Were evaluated with reading comprehension test ACL 6 created by Catalá Catalá Monclús and Molina (2001) adapted by Ortega and Ramirez (2009). The study concluded that students show low performance in reading comprehension Also the results found in each literal dimensions, reorganizacional, inferential and criterial was low.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoComprensión lectora en alumnos de quinto grado de secundaria de instituciones educativas estatales que participaron y no participaron en un proyecto de plan lector en el distrito de Ventanilla - Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2010) Carvo Navarro, Jenny Giovana; Velarde Consoli, Esther MarizaThis research examines the issue of whether there are or not differences in reading comprehension among students of public schools that participated and did not participate in the Reader Plan in Ventanilla (Callao Region). This is a comparative and descriptive research and also corresponds to the ex post facto design. The sample consisted in 294 students in the fifth grade of secondary school (145 males and 149 females) between 15 and 18 years old; who were evaluated with the Tapia and Silva Reading Comprehension Test. The results reveal that students who participated in the Reader Plan had a better performance in two of seven of reading comprehension skills which were examined and also, 35% of these students reached the average-superior category in reading comprehension in contrast of the 24% found in those students who did not participate in the Reader Plan. There were not differences between males and females. This study concludes that Reader Plan may be effective if it were monitored and evaluated.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoComprensión lectora en estudiantes de cuarto de primaria de La Perla Alta y Perla Baja del Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2011) Díaz Ricalde, Luisa Margarita; Muñoz Salazar, José ManuelThe present investigation´s purpose is to determine and compare the reading comprenhension in students of fourth grade from La Perla Alta and La Perla Baja districts. A sample of 95 and 101 students was considered from each school respectively. The type of design used was random probabilistic, descriptive, comparative with ages between 9 and 12 years. The test used was extend of the reading comprehension for fourth grade ACL 4, which considers the following dimensions: literal, reorganizative, inferential and critical. The principal results were that it exists a difference in reading comprehension in students of La Perla Alta y La Perla Baja districts in literally and inferential aspects and there is no difference in reorganizative and critical aspects. As additional information there was not a significants differences in reading comprehension between males and females students.

A reading comprehension test (ACL) elaborated by Catalá et al (2001) and adapted by professors Ramirez and Ortega (2010) was applied to a sample of 120 students. The results show a high level performance in the literal dimension while it reader a low level in reorganitational and critical. The inferential dimension reacher an average level Likewise it was stated that there is no significant difference between gender and reading comprehension performance in the literal reorganizational and inferential dimensiones however there was a significant difference between gender and reading comprehension performance in the critical dimension.

It also describes the performance in phonological awareness and reading comprehension of students in the sample, the same that was with 40 students, 25 boys and 15 girls aged 7-10 years of age, who were administered the test Reading Comprehension of Language Complexity Progressive Alliende, Condemarín and Milicic and Linguistic Segmentation Test Jimenez Gonzales and Ortiz. We used descriptive statistics to analyze the results of both tests, and inferential statistics to find the relationship between them. We obtained a Spearman rho coefficient of 0.782, so it was determined that the relationship between reading comprehension and phonological awareness is statistically significant at a significance level of 0.00. This also makes a detailed analysis of the dimensions of the tests applied.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEfectos de un programa de estrategias comunicativas para estimular el lenguaje oral en preescolares de cinco años - Callao(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2012) Cárdenas Pérez, Carmen Udelia; Álvarez Taco, Carmen LeniThe present research was to determine the effectiveness of a program of communication strategies in oral language of students 5 years of an educational institution of Callao. The sample consisted of 48 students: of these, 24 make up the control group and the other 24 make up the experimental group to whom the program was applied communication strategies. The instrument used was the oral language test for children 5 years, adapted from ELO (Ramos and others 2008) by Cardenas and Neyra (2011). The purpose of the test was to evaluate the relevant aspects of oral language in its different dimensions: auditory discrimination, phonological, syntactic and semantic. The results revealed that there are significant differences in favor and spoken language among the students who received the program and communication strategies that did not. It was concluded that the program was effective.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEfectos del programa Fonojuego en los niveles de conciencia fonológica en niños de cinco años de la I.E.I. 102 - Ventanilla(Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, 2010) Espinoza Rivera, Marlene Ricardina; Meza Borja, Juan AnibalThe purpose of this investigation was to determine the effectiveness of “Fonojuego Program” in the phonological awareness level in five years old children`s group of the Elementary Educational Institute Nº 102 of Ventanilla – Callao. A group of 40 was selected children. After this, the children were chosen to conform the experimental and control group. The instrument used to obtain the data was “The Methalinguistic Abilities Test”. This test was developed by Gomez, Valero, Buades and Pérez, adapted by Panca (2003). This test applied to itself to the group control and experimentally, being the experimental group subject to the program Fonojuegos. The results were analyzed, statistically by means the Test U of Mann - Withney. Thinking that the application of the program Fonojuegos shows his efficiency on having increased significantly the levels of phonological conscience in all his evaluated components. Likewise one concludes the importance of developing the phonological conscience from early ages with the purpose of anticipating future problems of learnings related to the reading.

This was a descriptive research and the design is descriptive comparative : There are 178 students participatedin this research 90 from a public school and 88 from a private school The V.A.K performed by Ralph and adapted by Leiva was used to this research. The results show that there are no significant differences between both schools.
